Here we go “Mile 22” with Marky Mark Wahlberg, I generally like Mark wahlberg movies he’s very good at being a regular kind of guy in movies. There are moments in this movie that his character just rapid fires thu dialogue that is believe playing the CIA agent rolles in this movie.
This movie just confused me. It’s never good when the credits start rolling and you are like “what?” “double agent”.. And the biggie of why 22 miles?
Why drive thru a crowded Thailand of Malaysia (i’m not even sure where the movie was taking place) to get to a plan 22 miles away? They are the CIA get a helicopter! So much karate chopping martial arts in this. I kept thinking this is a Jackie Chan movie without Jackie Chan which makes it so cliche. Lord I hope there isn’t a sequel. They left the door open for one but i don't see this lasting in the theater long.
This movie is a cliche mash up of poor orphan boy groomed to be a covert killing machines, martial arts, mother’s revenge, double agent, espionage and the threat of mass destruction. I’ve seen worse.
After discussing Mile 22 is rated C minus. Save your money and wait for Red Box it won’t be a long way!
